What You'll Do 

The Business Technology and Operations Finance team (BTOF) has an opportunity for a Finance Analyst (FP&A) supporting the Data Center Switching Business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understands various Cisco financial systems and drives business insights, reporting and analytics for where data analysis is the key input in business decisions.
  • Forecasts, analyzes, reports and recommends changes to financial and operational information and revenue, profitability, and cost management to achieve the desired goals while ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Lead and Drive budgets and planning activities across engineering and marketing teams
  • Supports key run the business integration activities for financial planning, ac
  • Identifies the root cause of issues and implementation plan to improve systems, processes, and controls.
  • Creates, implements, trains and maintains systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and Audit/SOX compliance.
  • Works cross functionally with business leaders, finance, accounting, tax, audit to answer financial questions/concerns and solve problems.

Who You'll Work With 

You will be working with a team of dynamic engineering and marketing professionals in Data Center Switching who are passionate in designing and developing world's fastest growing cloud development platform. This role will drive budgets and planning activities across the engineering and marketing organizations, prepare financial analysis, and support/lead financial deliverables across the finance team

You must have a keen interest in increasing productivity and driving process improvements. You are capable of working cross functionally with teams and commit to deadlines, fostering a positive work environment, have good communication skills and presentation skills, along with the ability to influence those around you. Proficiency in Essbase and Business Objects is preferred.

 

Our minimum requirements for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, with 2+ years related experience

• Demonstrated success in developing financial reports and providing analysis

• Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and communicate the meaning of the data being presented

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
