What You'll Do

Insieme is developing the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility.

Who You'll Work With
The future of networking with ACI is about providing a network that is deployed, monitored, and managed in a fashion that supports DevOps and rapid application change. ACI does so through the reduction of complexity and a common policy framework that can automate provisioning and managing of resources.

Who You Are

Role & Responsibilities
- complete PCB design including layout, routing and gerber generation with minimal supervision
- PCB floor planning, package breakout strategy for BGAs, routing analysis
- placement of components including large BGAs, connectors, discretes and other assemblies
- routing of traces & shapes, creation of component keep-out areas & other mechanical restriction envelopes
- creation of fab drawings, assembly drawings and gerber dataset for PCB fabrication

Experience

- PCB CAD symbol creation and CAD symbol library management
- Setting up design constraints using constraint manager, understanding of propagation delays on PCB, stack-up creation for high layer-count boards
- Multi-phase regulator placement and routing, decoupling strategies, length compensation techniques such as serpentining on differential traces, blind via structures
- Sensitive analog signal routing for power regulators, clocks; Routing of high-density designs such as CPU/memory interfaces; Routing high speed differential pairs
- Incorporating mechanical design inputs into the CAD database
- Familiar with manufacturing fabrication, PCB assembly process, back-drilling techniques, aspect ratios, manufacturing aspects, DFM, DFT

Minimum qualifications

- 5+ year experience in PCB CAD using Cadence Allegro
- Good communication skills to explain challenges & potential resolutions, and explain PCB design aspects to other members of the team

Education:

- BSEE or equivalent practical experience
