Overall:

The Capital Partner Account Manager (CPAM) will:

• Increase Cisco’s product and services sales and Cisco Capital’s financing volumes by effectively selling a broad range of innovative financial solutions to and through Cisco channel partners.
• Help Cisco channel partners use Cisco Capital financing solutions to increase, create, or pull forward technology and services sales opportunities.
• Deepen and strengthen the relationship with the key strategic channel partners through ongoing engagement with the senior management, sales force, and operations teams within those channel partners’ organizations.
• Develop and execute strategies for increasing the financing attach rate of partners’ Cisco equipment sales

Relationships:

• Reports to the head of Cisco Capital Partner Operations EMEAR
• Works closely with Cisco Capital Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance Partner and Business Development teams and the Cisco Channel Organization.
• Engages with Cisco Capital Financial Solutions Managers (FSMs) when creating partner strategies as a part of ongoing education and communication.

Deliverables:

• Create and execute business plans with assigned partners to drive up their leasing penetration and to exceed funding targets. Review results quarterly.
• Determine what training and development is necessary for your partners and deliver a partner education plan.
• Establish regular communication with your assigned partners.
• Act as the partners’ and local Cisco channel teams’ key point of contact for Cisco Capital, for example regarding financing issues, deal origination, quotation requests.
• Develop strong understanding of partners’ business models, specifically their finance statements and cash flow. Be able to make recommendations on what financing could do to help improve partners’ financial condition.
• Meet regularly on site with your assigned partners and Cisco channel teams to drive increased performance.
• Meet monthly with executive management to share results and status of program.
• Meet regularly with the partner account managers for your partners to solicit advice and garner their support to assist you in driving up our financing penetration.
• Pro-actively bring forward recommendations for changes to existing processes and offerings to increase Cisco Capital and partner productivity and overall partner satisfaction.
• Lead initiatives and share partner best practices with your peers.
• Manage the local relationship with the Finance Partners’ sales team to help develop and execute strategic plans to drive volumes in the Commercial segment
• Ensure inclusion of Cisco Capital and alignment with Cisco’s partner-focused initiatives (ex.: ‘Big Bet’ programs, partner co-marketing campaigns, event participation)

United Kingdom & Ireland travel for Partner visits

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge and experience of the channel and/or dealership structures
• Solid commercial finance background; sound financial skills
• Knowledge of IT leasing market (advantageous)
• Computer literate (essential)
• Fluent in English to business level (essential)

Soft Skills:

• Strong selling skills in major channel accounts with high level sales success track record as evidence
• Proven strong track record in sales with experience in solution led selling of financial solutions
• Strong closer who is able to lead sales calls at every level of an account

Industry or Sector Experience:

• High technology and/or networking industry
• Leasing of assets such as networking/telecom/communications solution, business machines, printing, technology, etc.
• Is used to working in a local organization within European support structure

Education:

• Higher Education (essential) Finance, Business, IT or Economics (preferable)
