The candidate will design and implement web based systems/applications using Java, Web 2.0 technologies, Rule Engines such as Drools, and other software development tools in a multi-platform environment.
Performs design, coding and implementation for complex, cross-functional systems. May assist with tool selection and strategic direction of tools, systems and software packages. Works with a team of architects and engineers involved in development of Order capture software for Cisco products, software and services. Partners closely with cross functional team to work on technical solutions, and recommends and ensures proper technical alternatives have been considered.
Recognized expert in multiple technological fields of specialization outside of the organization. Functions as the highest level of technical resource. Resolves and consults on the most complex issues. Strong understanding of all current technologies and good understanding of emerging technologies. Strong understanding of business impact of technology.
Requires a strong background SW design and implementation, preferably on eCommerce projects. As a member of the engineering team you have responsibility to be hands on in developing software and solve complex business problems.


Skills:

1. Knowledge of Java, J2EE, Web 2.0 technologies, Javascript, AJAX
2. Think out of the box and strong analytical skills, problem solving
3. Knowledge of Cloud Native technologies such as Kafka & MongoDB

4. Experience using source code control (CVS, PVCS)
5. Knowledge of Java frameworks like Struts or Turbine 

6. Strong oral and written communication skills


Minimum Requirements:
Masters in CS or equivalent plus 5+ years experience in a software or telecommunications environment.
