Identify, shape and bridge national level cyber security initiatives , including the development of market disrupting customer pilots, to differentiate Cisco as the #1 trusted IT company in India.  With highly visible data breaches and service disruptions having left companies and governments exposed, the Security and Trust Organization (STO) has invested in differentiating Cisco through cyber security partnerships to help Government’s accelerate their national security and economic agendas, including digital disruption.  As we work towards delivering this value, we will focus on national engagements that lead our customers to reflect the value in their purchasing and partnership decisions, and in turn create differentiation for Cisco.

Team Description

Are you a technology leader who wants to shape and drive national level architectures and customer pilots in cybersecurity?  A fast learner and collaborator who can work across organizational boundaries, both internal and external - from Govt CTOs, Research and Academic Community Leaders through to senior sales leaders and peer architects?  

 

As Solutions Architect, you will be an integral member of the Trust & Strategy Office (TSO) India team, and will work closely with national agencies, industry and partner stakeholders, technical and standards bodies, as well as internal teams, to provide thought leadership, guidance, and ‘effective practices’, including the support of pilots, architecture and solution development in key accounts, to drive Cisco’s impact on the cyber security market in India. The goal is to be viewed as a ‘trusted-advisor’ by technical leaders and CIOs in both key Government, Industry and Partner stakeholders, as well as our internal teams (Architects, India Sales, BU & CDA communities).  

 Roles and Responsibilities

•         Develop, articulate and provide advocacy of Cisco’s Cyber security thought leadership initiatives in technical areas & architectures both internally and externally.

•         Actively participate in meetings of industry bodies, technical organizations and committees with a focus on providing broad advocacy of the Cisco position on cyber security technology, trends and needs – be a ‘trusted-technical-advisor’.

•         Understand and articulate architecture requirements for the Cisco customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements for consideration and delivery through testing/pilots in conjunction with the CDA/Sales team, wider STO, Cisco Business Units and Global teams.

•         Develop and deliver technical presentations and support pre-sales technical activities for selected India Government, Industry and Partner stakeholders.

•         Provide technical support to other peer  teams in helping to deliver a cohesive Cisco cyber security trust strategy across the TSO organization.

•         Keep up to date on the Cyber Security & Security markets, competitive solutions, products and services.

•         Actively participate as a technical specialist on the Global, APJC & India Cyber Security virtual team activities as appropriate.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification

•         BE/BTech, with preferred post graduate degree.

•         Expert level of knowledge in security platforms and architectures

•         Demonstrable level of comfort communicating and partnering across all technical functions within Cisco, Government, the clients, partners and industry.

•         Must be an Indian Citizen and be capable of holding an Indian security clearance.

Highly Desirable

•         Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP Qualified)

•         Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English

•         10+ years work experience, preferences include government/defence roles (e.g. India DoT Experience) and/or industry experience.

3+ years work experience in cyber security initiatives and programs. Experience

Minimum Qualification

•         Hands-on field experience:

o working directly with technical stakeholders & customers on evolving security architectures, and

o in the application of people, process & technology to cyber security innovation.

•         Expert level knowledge and real-world experience in Enterprise & SP Systems Security;

Highly Desirable

•         Assisting customers in architecting future Cisco Security and Software blueprints, including experience with Government testing, especially DoT compliance and verification processes.

•         A background of having developed security reference arhcitectures as part of a pre-sales consulting experience, competence in Cisco products and solutions.

•         Knowledge of major cybersecurity vendor solutions, and a competitive understanding of the market.

•         While the background rests on expertise in network and infrastructure and native Cisco architectures, expertise in one or more of the following areas: mobile device and endpoint security, cloud security, application security, identity management and security operations for large organizations.
