As part of the Optics Technology and Quality group, you'll be responsible for developing and qualifying wafer fabrication processes and technologies for Cisco's Silicon Photonics platform. Cisco's Silicon Photonics based interconnect products enable several of Cisco's Data Center, Enterprise and Service Provider solutions.

You'll be managing Silicon Photonics wafer fabrication process development, troubleshooting technical issues and designing build plans for proof of concept of new technologies. You'll also be driving Cisco's research and development activities toward development of next generation Silicon Photonics building blocks. You'll own process qualification activities and define on-going reliability criteria (ORM) for Silicon Photonics ICs. You'll also work with Cisco's Foundry partners to bring up in-line and end of line wafer electro-optical testing programs, including wafer yield analysis, and drive NPI to high volume transfer activities to meet Cisco's module performance and reliability criteria.
Minimum requirements for this role include an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related fields with 7+ years experience in CMOS or Photonics fabrication. Experience in silicon photonics design, components and manufacturing is key, including experience in statistical data analysis, yield metrics, Cpk etc. Experience with wafer fabrication back end of line qualification and reliability metrics is also a must.

Desired skills include experience with wafer scale fabrication of Photonics builds blocks, such as waveguides, coupling structures, modulators etc. and solving manufacturing issues related to wafer fabrication and scale up. Some experience or exposure to electro-optical wafer level testing is highly desirable.The ideal candidate will be a great team player and have the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external teams toward achieving common goals.
