What You'll Do

If you are an individual that people recognize as an innovator, strategist and able to effectively connect bright minds together to solve complex problems, you are just the type of visionary we are looking for.  As the Electrical IC Strategic Sourcing Commodity Manager, you'll be engaging on some of the most interestingly complex problems in the industry.  You'll influence both technology and business for leading edge Electrical IC integration to Silicon Photonics and Optical business and market needs.  You will define and set strategic direction for next-generation Technologies, IPs, Silicon fabrication, processes, and chip-on-chip and chip-on-wafer packaging technologies for photonic engines. You will interface with functional partners to understand the long term requirements, map requirements into supply base offering, roadmap gap closure and facilitate optimal component and manufacturing flow process selection. Responsible for executing sourcing decisions, risk assessment/mitigation and alternate technical solution development. Oversees large, complex programs consisting of multiple locations and business units.  Self-starter that can independently resolve large-scale project issues and manages appropriate escalation within Cisco as necessary.

Who You'll Work With

You'll work closely with constituents across our Supply Base, Enrgineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing and Legal organizations.  You will be innovating and creating solutions to complex problems enabling our customers in unique ways.

Who You Are

-Bachelors of Science in Engineering or equivalent
-10+ years of relevant experience with a combination of engineering design and business strategy experience is required
-Requires extensive business strategy and implementation knowledge
-Optical networking, product HW design, Digital and mixed-signal IC Design, Semiconductor design, Photonic chip design, Optical packaging, and chip packaging experience is preferred
-Technical knowledge relevant to Semiconductor technologies for DataComm, Analog & Optical markets; both technical and business related problem solving skills
-Strong interpersonal communication, and relationship management skills
-Strong experience in Silicon and Optics tech/ecosystem is preferred
