We have an exciting leadership opportunity open on our team! Cisco seeks a Systems Engineering Manager to provide leadership and guidance to the Systems Engineering team in support of sales and development efforts. In this role, you will be planning the technical direction for the team, identifying expertise to grow the team as needed, and facilitating key partnerships between internal, Channel partner, and client organizations. This is an ideal position for someone who has proven leadership skills as well as industry and technical expertise to advance their career in management.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

* Recruit, hire, train, and retain top technical talent who are able to work in a dynamic environment.

* Coach and develop staff; provide performance management, development planning, salary planning and technical training.

* Plan, organize and direct the activities of a variety of Corporate and non-sales support groups to ensure the finalization of customer system needs.

* Continuous self-development with regard to fast-paced and changing technology to ensure state-of-the-art readiness to apply diverse solutions to customer's requirements.

* Develop relationships with customers, vendors, partners and corporate service organizations to manage successful implementations that allow customers to gain competitive advantage through use of our technology.

* Plan, organize and direct the activities of a variety of Corporate and non-sales support groups to ensure the finalization of customer system needs.

* Develop an infrastructure that creates an environment for Channel and Ecosystem Partner development and builds a closer SE/Partner relationship at all levels

* Responsible for focusing on major opportunities, expanding territory business, and driving critical account situations to resolution.

* Driven to grow customer satisfaction.

* Collaborate with worldwide systems engineering teams

The India Commercial Systems Engineering team comprises of very talented and motivated engineers. We play different roles in the area of account pre-sales management, technology deep dive, partner advocacy and engineering leadership. We place emphasis on individual development and relevancy in the market place, and we are strong advocate of Cisco's own certification programs. We work closely together to help our customer solve their business problems. As a team, we possess divest engineering expertise and we are constantly on a look out for new skill sets to add to our team capability.

 

Cisco India System Engineering Team showcase Cisco product solutions-setting up demonstrations and explain features and benefits to customers.

 

Who You Are

 

Ideally you will have 15+ years' related experience in the associated technology industry and 5+ years' management experience and demonstrated leadership of technical pre-sales teams. With your track record in Pre-Sales, a strong knowledge of Cisco products would be advantageous and/or relevant experience with competitive offerings. You will be comfortable with customer management practices together with an in-depth understanding and experience in management of all aspects of sales support processes. As such, excellent communication skills to assist at the Customer Management Interface level, including negotiation and presentation skills, are required.

 

Our minimum requirements for this role:

* Proven Pre-Sales track record within the technology industry.

* 5+ years management experience with a demonstrated ability to manage professionally diverse employees through mentoring, coaching and skill development.

* BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.

* Sound Knowledge in Internetworking – Routing, Switching, Security, Collaboration & Data Center /Virtualization

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

* Excellent conflict resolution and team building skills.

* Ability to establish clear objectives and direction for team.

* Ideally, the ability to understand and be conversant about company, its solutions, and product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Comfortable evangelizing the value of Cisco products and solutions with passion and confidence.

* Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required.
