Business Entity:The Core Software Group (CSG) Access Switching group is responsible for Cisco''s flagship switches and owns the Catalyst 2k/3k/4k product line. We design and develop high-performance system software for these Cisco Platforms and are also working on several next generation products.

About the Position:
This is position is for a product release train where Cisco Makes revenue of close to 12 billion dollars a year across the Catalyst 2k/3k/4k Switching products in the Enterprise Domain.
The Eligible Candidate will be responsible Majorily for Developing Strategy and Test Plans, Execute Functional Tests, End to End Test, Support Demos, Customers and Fields, TAC Training etc.
The Eligible Candidate will be responsible for "Automation Framework, Scripting and Integrating into Sanities and Regression". The Eligible candidate will have to work on the Newer Operating Systems for Enterprise Products.

Technical Skills

In depth understanding and testing of platform areas

In depth Understanding of Protocols and Field Deployments across the L2/L3 protocols, technologies - STP, VTP, Flexlink, SPAN, Routing protocols, PBR, ACLs, QoS, L2/L3 multicast etc
Hands on Test experience for atleast 2+ on the above Protocols is a must
Overall Test and Development Experience of 2+ is a must
Development & Programming experience will be beneficial
Basic Linux Knowledge is a Must
Should be able to Script in Python, PERL, TCL scripting languages
Ability to debug complicated system-level issues is a must
Exposure to product life cycle is a must.
Cisco Experience is an Advantage
Customer experience: Reproduction and debugging of customer issues, handling of field queries
Knowledge on IOT and Usecases will be an advantage
Knowledge on Linux, Open Source Tools, Spirent, IXIA, VM and Cloud Technologies will be beneficial

Excellent verbal/written communication skills, Teamwork and interpersonal skills
Representing Team in broader forum - Demos, Presentations etc
Independent, Can-do Attitude and Thrive to Completion is a must
Strong Logical Reasoning and Analytical Capabilities
Very good customer interaction skills
Ability to multi-task, and work under project pressure.
Interact with various functions and teams of the product, including marketing, H/W, A/C teams etc.

L3: VRF, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, BGP, VRF Aware Services , HSRP, v4 mcast, mcast routing, stub routing, SSM, PIM Bidir, DHCPv6,IPv6 Tunneling , HSRPv2 for IPv6

Switch/Router Platform Infrastructure:
L2/L3 Forwarding Infrastructure
L2-L3 Apps (L2 protocols such as STP, HDLC, PPP, ARP, HSRP/VRRP, CDP)
Scripting : TCL/TK, PERL, Python & C/C++ debugging skills
