Position Summary 

The XSE Infrastructure Engineer will help to design and build tools, technologies and platforms to operate, monitor and scale our production applications and systems infrastructure.

 

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced full-stack infrastructure engineer who enjoys the process of designing and building systems coupled with a passion for solving tricky problems. The day to day role will be relatively varied across design, testing, implementation and providing support for the operations team during escalations.

 

Creativity is a must. The candidate must be able to build solutions using multiple components including network, compute, hypervisor, storage, security, scripting and management tools. A real passion for documentation and teaching others is critically important.

Candidate Requirements

·       10+ years of proven experience in building high-performance data center infrastructure

·       Recent direct hands-on experience in most of the following categories:

o   Cisco Routing and Switching platforms

o   NetApp Storage

o   VMware vSphere

o   Cisco Security Products

o   Python

o   Compute (ideally Cisco UCS)

o   Remote Access VPN

o   Linux

o   Windows Server

·       A firm grasp of Computer Science fundamentals including object oriented design, data structures, problem solving and complexity analysis.

·       Excellent automation coding and scripting skills/experience with one or more programming / scripting language like Python, Perl or GO for system provisioning and configuration.

·       Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in Linux (including shell scripting), Python.

·       Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience
